    Abit in9 32x-max + OCZ2G800R22GK

    Hello,

I don't know if I am posting a repeat question but I need help with the settings for my system. I am having issues with the running 4 gigs of ram in my system. My system locks up or programs crash when I am running 4gigs of ram. The memory I have is the OCZ2G800R22GK on an Abit in9 32x-max. I have tested all 4 sticks individually and they all run fine. I then tested each of the 4 sticks in different pairings in dual channel and once again no problem. I have a feeling it is a voltage issue but am unsure of the correct voltage to set it to. Is there anyone which the same configuration that can help me? I have set the timings to 4-5-5-15 with a voltage of 2.0 and I am still having lock up issues. Thanks

I think that you will find that all the 6x0 series SLi mobos are a bit touchy running 4 DIMMs.
Having said that have you upped the MCH voltage at all?

hi, im running the same abit board with 4 x 1GB of corsair dominator 8500 and ive never had a problem, i think mine are running at 2.0 or 2.1v not really sure i can suggest much to help but if u want to know anything about my set up feel free to ask. have you updated your BIOS to latest version? i think the last version released before abit went bust was version 15, i think its still available on their web site.

    Hey Adoo,

I am currently running version 15. The problem got worse when I switched over to version 15. The system was at least a little stable with the older version. I've given up. Ordered new 4gig ram. Thanks though.

    Re: Abit in9 32x-max + OCZ2G800R22GK

    I have the same exact setup...abit in9 32x-max with 4gb of OCZ2G800R22GK (4 moduels).

On more demanding games like Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising, Sims 3, Company of Heroes, and even sometimes World of Warcraft, the system will just hard lock somtimes with the display flickering..with looping audio like a broken record. Wow is the only game that I can recover when this happens...usually through 5 or 6 minutes of ending the game task and getting to the reboot option in windows. I noticed when this happens in wow that my memory available drops more and more until there is none left and my page file fills up.

I have my memory timings set to 4-5-5-15 as described and voltage at 2.0v

    Any more suggestions?
