I pulled the plug out of the PC today (PC was of course off - power button to 0 too) and I cannot get connected to the net after that... I get the big red X on my screen, and the leds on the back are not lit...
I checked the Network adapter in my BIOS and was on... I installed the drivers again... nothing...
When checking in Device Manager, the network adapter is not present...
When I replugged my PC and tried to turn it on, it wouldn't... everything starts for 5-6 seconds (all fans, etc), and then it turns itself off... after a few seconds, it restarts itself on, then off again, etc...
I pushed the CMOS button on the back for some 10 seconds, then turned it on, went into Bios to fix the settings (especially to check that LAN is enabled), and then reboot... PC reboots ok, but still get the big red X on my screen (next to clock), and the leds on the back do not light up...
I also tried another friend's info... turned it off, pulled the plug, waited for 15+ minutes... then it wouldn't boot again... had to do the whole CMOS thing again...
What is going on? What else should I try? Maybe my board went bad, and I should buy a PCI card adapter???
