I have tested them and they seem to work well.

I only have my TV Wonder 650 configured as a digital tuner since I don’t want to deal with the non-concurrent limitations of the product so I cannot say if both analog and digital tuners are functional?

    Anyone know?
What version of Vista are you running? Below is a report from someone who believes these drivers may not apply to Vista Ultimate, which I find hard to believe since the core of the OS should be the same across versions etc.

Has any one else had problems recording? I used IUVCR with my 550 it worked great. However with the 650 my video stops recording the program keeps going but is only recording audio. Using the divx with catalyst media cent as well as criss TV had few second pauses in the video. Recording Mpeg2 the files come up short lenghth. I downloaded the latest drivers and fresh installed windows, it did the same thing still. I had my 550 for a year and had no such problems.

I allready sent this card Back and Got a Hauppauge HVR 1600 but using their software it crashes when i try to record, wont let you schedule back to back shows. It worked ok with my beyond tv, but mine is the se version that doeant allow divx or ATSC. The picture is not as clear as the pci wonder 650
either, the Hi def looks worse then analog recorded on the ATI.

I was hoping i just got a bad card and want to try another PCI Wonder 650

ATI Radeon Express 200 Motherboard (dfi infinity 482)

So what video card are you using or are you using the Xpress 200 subsystem?

Some Video tapes have microvision protection and cannot be recorded using a card like the TV Wonder 650. You would have to use a third device to remove the protection first.

So you bought a TV Wonder 650, returned it and kept the software,….I don’t think that’s legal,…!?! Not that I really care,..I'm just saying

how did you come up with that?

I record shows off regular leagal to record tv "nbc abc etc etc" to watch on my laptop I had been using a sapphire theatrix 550, which has worked fine fpr over a year. I sold it and all its acccompaning software on Ebay. I put in the TVwonder 650 now the video cuts out for a few seconds at a time, i can see
it happening on the iuvcr graph. I had the same problem recording with the Catalyst media center (which i returned with card) using divx or mpeg and chris tv (free legal trial). I tried many different versions of iuvcr, drivers, software divx, xvid, wm9 etc reloaded windows and still kept coming up with the same problem. none of the programs or my computer crashed, there was just spots in the recordings with no video.

Since I had allready sold mt 550 theatrix on ebay i put in my old leattex expert card, which works fine, however i was really impressed with the picture quality of the 650 and was wondering if it was just a defective card
Id like to try it again, but if it is a driver issue, i don't want to wait 6 monthes
to be able to use the card.

the hvr-1600 just plain crashes totally different problem i tried that one on a different computer evan . and the picture quality (live viewing) was disapointing after seing the 650

sorry i was a little frustrated after spending all weekend trying to get this thing to work, and i did lose $30 between shipping and restocking fee. Nobody around here sells ati tuner cards. I just wanted to know if i just got a bad card and should order another.

I don't think he was actually accusing of anything in an attempt to avoid dealing with the problem, and he also doesn't work for ATI. Only a few of the people who post here are actually affiliated with ATI. I think octavean meant it as a funny comment.

I'm not sure who's the lying bastards. ATI or Microsoft?? I thought that Vista support my ATI tv turner Pro but it doesn't.

Went and bought the ATI 650 Pro and not that happy with it so far. Channels changing in Vista MCE suck pretty badly. I've used WinDVR3 on my XP before so I installed it. Channel changing with WinDVR3 is the best out there with no lag. The only problem with the WinDVR3 so far is that I'm not getting any sound. I have to use my onboard audio at the moment since my Creative's driver for my Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeMusic is crashing Vista.

TV Wonder 650 vs. Theatre 650 Pro

I don't think I asked this question, but here it goes, what is the difference between the TV Wonder 650 vs. the Theatre 650 Pro

I want to buy one, but which one?

From the look of it, both uses the same Theatre312/Theatre650PRO chip. I'm confused at you are. It's like the stupid 550 Elite crap. They have different name but they're all the same and using the same drivers.

What's confusing me is this. On the Box it say TV Wonder 650 but but the stupid review is for the ATI Theater 650. I better take a look at my TV turner to check out the chip:

Sorry can't post link yet but add the 3 Ws to the link:
