I've also been having issues with buzzing/static in my front panel audio. I've tried using DIY methods to attempt to shield the cable using aluminum foil, but it hasn't helped. I was wondering if I could get information on how to get a replacement for the front panel connectors.
Hi Isira -
Sure. You can contact Jeff Smith at jsmith@antec.com, and he can help you to determine if you indeed need a replacement part.
If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
Hi Veronica, I have the exact same problem on my P182 and just submitted a ticket through Antec Global Customer Service (Canada), should I also send an email to Jeff Smith? Ticket #201881.
Thanks!
Hello!
I have the same issues with the front audio jack at a P182. A replacement of the front panel brougt no improvement. I read in other forums that a mute of Line In and Microphone resolves the issue, but it doesn't work also. With the rear audio jack there is no problem. Has somebody resolved the problem?
Thanks in advance
Kindly
Roy
Yeah, my replacement front piece was defective. I inquired about a second piece, they acknowledged that it would need to be replaced again, but I havent heard or seen anything about it again since Dec 7th.
I'm not sure what to do at this point...maybe escalate further with Antec? I'm gathering parts to rebuild my wife's PC now, but haven't made a final decision on a case yet for her. I don't want go through this again, so might go with a different brand.
Hello,
I have a P183B and the front audio jack has the same problem with static. When the audio cable (inside the case) is near the GPU I get a buzzing sound depending on the intensity of the graphics, and when it's near the CPU I hear a ticking sound when scrolling pages etc.
Is there any solution to this problem other than replacing the part? Will there be any costs (such as shipping to Finland, Europe) involved in getting this replacement part?
Thank you for your help.
Hello,
I have the same issue with my 902 Antec case. Seems like the audio cable needs shielding improvements. I am also going to try to surround the current cable with a snap on ferrite but I have my doubts. Any others suggestions? I was looking forward to using this port but can't stand the noise.
Someone help!!!!!
Alright,
So I rerouted the audio cable and added ferrite cores at each end. No better and maybe even worse. So I unplugged the front USB and till audio is terrible. I guess I won't be using this jack sadly unless someone else has another idea.
Thanks,
Micah
Hopefully ANTEC can find a solution and post it so we all can fully enjoy our case.
I filled an online support form on antec.com and recieved info on how to request a spare part (had to supply proof of purchase and shipping details). I'm now waiting for more information.
Hi Mranger1996
Sounds to me you might need the front panel replaced. I suggest you to submit a report to our customer support team and they will determine whether you need a front panel switched out or not. Please feel let me know if you have any other questions.

Thank you for offering help. I'm currently discussing the problem with Antec Europe RMA. Disconnecting the front panel USB, firewire and grounding cable resulted in completely static-free sound from the front panel. My computer is connected to a wall socket that is not grounded. I will connect it to a grounded socket and post the results here.
Fixed the front panel problem, I contacted Antec and they said to remove the ground screw to the front panel. Perfrct sound now. Thanks. Hope this doesn't affect any thing else.
I heard from Antec Europe RMA that a new revision of the front panel is being made, which should fix the problem.
