I still haven't heard backfrom Jeff Smith since December 7th about the replacement for my defective replacement. I'm going to do an online ticket, but can't seem to locate the serial number on my P-182. Anyone know where I should look?
Thanks!

Hi Mdrnhl!
The serial number should be located on the original box. If you don't have the original box, do you happen to have some sort of proof of purchase for the P182?

Hi Mdrnhl,
I believe the receipt should be good enough to complete the RMA process. You should submit a ticket here http://www.antec.com/Believe_it/inde...support_online and hopefully we could fix your front panel audio problem on your P182.

Antec
Well I spoke with Antec support on the phone. They were very courteous, and they shipped me another front module.
It turned out to be defective as well.
I give up...no more Antec cases for me in the future, unfortunately.
Good luck folks!
The front panels have a design fault that causes the static and Antec is working on a new version of the panel to fix the problem. I also had a replacement front panel shipped to me and it had the same problem.
A temporary fix is to remove all other cables from the front panel and only leave the audio cable connected. This worked for me and I'm currently waiting for the new version.
When you say to remove all cables, do u mean only the usb and esata? I'm asking because from the front panel there is also the power switch, reset switch, hdd led,.... small cables.
PS: I guess I shouldn't bother in asking Antec a replacement front panel module, right? everybody who have receive it says they didn't solve anything.
I meant the grounding cable, USB and esata (sorry, forgot to be specific). I still have the power/reset/hdd leds etc. connected. I'd recommend asking for a replacement panel only if this doesn't work. If the fix works then I'd recommend informing Antec that you want the new version of the panel when it's ready (A guy from Antec Europe RMA told me that Antec USA is working on the new version of the front panel module) .
Hi mdrnhl,
I was talking to tech support today and they gave me this website
http://www.pcmus.com/power-grounding.htm
It mentions a few possible solution in fixing this issue.
Let us know if it works. Thanks!

Antec
I'll try what I can, but right off the bat I can confirm that...
1. The wall outlet is properly grounded.
2. It's happened with 2 different power supplies.
3. The motherboard standoffs are all metal, and snug.
How can I get on that list for receiving the new front module?
hi there, the next time I powered on my PC I could hear the noise again (it's so strange) so I also removed the front audio port.
So, we have to completely inutilize the case front panel to not hear any noise at all.
Well I don't actually know what the ground cable is. I just removed the front panel ports to the mobo (usb, esata and audio) and plug my headphones to the back of the case, and I don't get the noise. I have the case front panel completely unusuable, but it's all I know to do.
PS: If anyone knows a good ATX case brand that doesn't have these problems, plz tell me. I though Antec was a good manufacturer that take care of these details but I was wrong. And these noise problems (for what I know) seems to be present in all the Antec cases, for not to mention the static problems everyone is complaining about.
