    Ipods are a @#R@#@

Ok I have a 40GB New Ipod. The cord that you put the power into, that connect in the bottom of the ipod, it fell on my floor, and CRACKED. How Ironic can just a 2 feet fall crack open the plastic on the end. IT still works, but its kinda troubling plugging it in, just the white plastic is broke off and all I see is a copper plug. Also I laid the ipod down on the table one day, not hard at all or anything, and it popped on one side. So I had to pop it back in. Also the remote cord, the end that goes into your ipod, has a crack along the white plastic, from what? I have no clue. Could anyone tell me if Apple will do anything about this? I bought it January 1st!

I dont know, I really want to get rid of it, mainly because I need the money for something else, but i'll look into the warranty thing. Yes the ipod IS nice and all, but just the damn plugs are a big problem!

If theres any advice i can give an ipod user its this. Get a generation 2 ipod, the generation 3 has far to many problems. My generation 2 has taken all the beating i can give it over the last 10 months, and it still has an 10 hour battery life.

The heat from using it made the plastic side expand

Sheps had this problem with his 3rd gen.

I've got a 2nd gen and have had no huge problems with it at all, shame really as the 3rd gen's are meant to be better but they seem to have more problems and a worse interface
