    broken ibook

o.k short story, sisters kid had broke his g4 ibook
it powers up but crash's/hangs after a few min/secionds screen goes funny (goes black to white in diffent paces if not left alone for a few min's) sisters says it's the hard drive is broken but i dont think so ecause it crash's/hangs with the diag cd in also if i run the diag test it hangs on memory/logic board test.
now is it worth geting this fixed, it's just out side it's warnty (1 year) or do you think i can sell it on for spares or repaire ??

Check the serial code on your iBook. You may be eligible for the Logic Board replacement as what you're describing seems like the symptoms of a common fault with iBooks.

Have a read - http://www.apple.com/uk/support/ibook/faq/ - Apple have got a repair thing going for these.

The extended logic board replacement was only for G3 iBooks iirc.
