    printer not intel-mac compatible?

My mum recently bought a new macbook (so now on a G4 intel-based unit with 10.4.6 OSX or something like that) and her old Lexmark Z25 printer is no longer supported. Apparently lexmark support up to OSX 10.4 but not 10.4.6 or something accoring to the helpful lexmark telephone answerer.

I don't suppose any of you guys have any experience with problems like this or what might be done to solve it ... else I guess she's buying a new printer (as well as the new modem/router as the BT no longer worked ... )

You can try an see if a generic printer driver will work and if the older driver works.
