That Focus has done 60k, and is a Zetec Climate. After finding this out, my attention has turned to that.

All the cars (Golf 1.9 TDI, Focus 1.8 Zetec and Lupo 1.4) have somehow come out cheaper to insure than my Ka... with Direct Line (my current insurer)

That'll be because it is such a popular car for young drivers..it doesnt just go on insurance group. There will be a higher number of accidents involving young drivers on the Ka than any other of the cars you mentioned, despite a difference in ins. grouping.

And I would go for the Focus, just make sure you get the complete timing belt system replaced if you choose it.

I've always been a fan of focus' and finding out its a 1.8 Zetec Climate with 60k, made me a bit more interested...

So much so i took my Ka for a clean and valet, and then to the garage, and was offered £3000. He wants £700 for the swap.

Now... I know my suspension needs doing, and the Ka is scratched inside and out, to hell. Theres a dint on the passengers side which is rusting and will be hard to fix. First MOT is due in June.

Add those up and I reckon thats £500-700.

I'd be happy to go for it, if he'd drop to £500 maybe even £600+KA.
