The post office wont make your tax disc, they just collect the fee and send it on to dvla... the disc will always arrive by post.

You can buy tax online, but to use the car without a tax disc is fineable (£100 i think)

True, but the rozzers check if you've got tax with their central computer so even if you do get pulled they'd be very unreasonable to do you for it. Most coppers will give you a few days lattitude, if it's a month out of date your toast.

Snap though I do it online now for renewals. But Post Office will give you new disc solong as you have insurance docs and mot and v5 slip or thingy

I rang my insurance company, and they have sent out my docs first class. I should get them in the morning and be able to tax my car then . Another night of it sat on my drive teasing me . Reckon I could park it on the road to clean it without it being towed?

Yup, I renewed my Bike's tax online, was easy and painless to do

I've moved it from the top of the driveway out to the road so that I could clean and wax it. It's back on the driveway now . That's about all I can do until I get my tax.

Yeah you can do it instantly at the post office.. Just need ya MOT, insurance and V5 I think. When I got my car the tax was about to run out.. luckily the insurance docs came just on the day the tax was due.

Even moving it on the road at all is illegal you bloody rebel!

I got into my boot the other day. Not comfortable! lol.

I was scared my mates were gona shut it too, its a saloon type shape too so I couldn't push up the parcel shelf or anything either.


It's an impressive boot size for the type of car it is though, I recon you could get two dead bodies in there.

I've been driven home from B&Q in the boot of my dad's car. We bought so many bits of MDF and carpet tiles there wasn't anywhere else for me to go It wasn't the most pleasant of rides
