The Celica in the pix is an end of line run-out model with different alloys etc. Not sure if the spec changed but they're rare and likely on a V-plate so we're talking 5-6k.

I'm 6'4" and I really struggle with our F-plate Celica headroom wise because of the sunroof. Seats and controls are get though, love the gearbox and steering and the engine is lovely.
I'm told the back is dead comfy but I don't fit to find out! lol

You sure? Those alloys just look aftermarket to me, if you are 6' 4" you wouldn't fit in one of those without a sunroof, the front is really low, and the rear is a joke. Might be comfy if you are about 4'.

The SR did come with 16" momo's so they look about right, however they do look suspiciously clean, and possibly a little big

Well Im not the tallest of chaps so that doesn't bother me. My housemate however is 6ft 2, but if he wants to come for a ride he would have to grin and bare it

Going to the garage tomorrow to talk £ and go for a test drive probably.

The SR in the picture is a 1999 and the alloys I was told came as standard, although whether they have been replaced since new I don't know.

Howard, I was in love with golfs at the time and just had to have one. 1.4 has been enough, but I want more fun and power from a car, I am at the stage now where I can afford to insure and run a good car rather than plumping for something cheap to run because thats all I can afford. However, I have found to my pains that the Golf has not been cheap to run, £800 since January is bloody ridiculous!

apart from tracking needing doing a tiny ammount, perfect!

Very enjoyable, I just have to remember to keep my sensible head on when im driving and not do anything silly....

Service is spotless, no problems at all since new, I hope to keep it that way!

well the GT4 is quite alot more powerful than this, but it is much nicer and quicker to drive than my 1.4 Golf! It's a 1.8L engine, haven't checked it's stats but I think its around 120bhp. £36.50/mo insurance, can't complain!

Wow! Nice car! Can someone justify why I have to pay almost double for 10 more bhp?

Tracking issues may be tyre pressures. The nearside rear looks like it could do with some in in that top pic

You were spot on, the tyre pressures were all wrong! Back 2 were sub 20 psi, front ones were sub 30. Put back 2 to 36, front 2 to 32, how does this pressure sound?
