I can't wait for the Fiat 500 Abarth. Looks alot better than the bread van looking Panda

Evo love the Panda 100HP (apart from the harsh ride), so hopefully Fiat will have learned their lesson by the time the 500 Abarth comes out.

    Looks good around that track!

It's a travesty that a market for such a stupid car exists. Shame on you BMW. More shame on those of you who will actually buy the stupid thing

Thing is though Howard, the Cayenne whilst looking like the back end of a bus, is actually a really very capable car. Having had a bit of a 'play' on a private road with a Cayenne Turbo in the Clio I can comprehensively say that they corner rather well and stop like no other bus I've ever seen. I very nearly rear ended it at one point it bled the speed off that quickly.

Their purpose may just be for taking the kids to school in Surrey, but as far as all round AWD off roaders go, the Cayenne series in my eyes are pretty tasty - albeit in a way that only its mother can love.

Oh you're right, I have no doubt that it's fecking quick, drives well for it's size and stops on a sixpence (it'd need to have powerful brakes!) but I'm not convinced it's a "capable offroader" not in stock form anyway

I just wish they'd have designed a nice big and super quick saloon or estate for people-carrying and not that monstrosity.

I'm not sure what I'd buy, should I be forced to buy a big 4x4 actually.. Touaregs look a little less offensive than the Cayenne, and the Diesel V10 is tempting But I might have to go for something like a Hilux, after seeing Top Gear the other week...

Beaten to it. Just finished reading the Top Gear article about the new 500 - it looks pretty impressive.

you gotta show Fiat some respect, cos the Punto is lovely, and the Panda is cool, and the Abarth will rock.

And they do great adverts, and good websites.

Re: Cayenne, X5, X6 or whatever.

Personally I hate those sort of cars, but they only exist because there's a market for them - rich people, pop stars and drug dealers. BMW, Porsche or whoever - they're a business - they chase $$$$
