Depends how silly I am with the bleed valve, but I only run 17psi at the most (bar a spike for half a second or so). 17psi ran 156bhp safely, with 160 lbs/ft of torque.

About 165bhp/tonne with driver. Doubt a standard Corsa has got that sort of power/weight unless it was something serious..

    Err, there's no such thing as a 172 1.6.

    Clio 172 = 2.0l 16v
    Clio 1.6 Sport = 1.6 16v

Nope, there has never been a 1.6l Clio 172.

Always been a 2.0l, in fact it's the same engine in both phases of Clio 172. They've always had VVT. The only variation was the "Cup" which has a slightly different ECU.

hmm glad to see people are still proving their manliness by racing around in phallic exstensions, seriously i thought this kinda thing only happened in American High School Movies.

"Did u hear Tommy C is racing Johnny Max at dead mans curve!"

seriously tho other people use the roads and are just trying to get from a to b without getting killed, i don't think this kinda behaviour should be condoned.

Doesn't racing on public roads invalidate your insurance too?

Big Al was obviously talking about the 44138 under 17's that are driving on UK's roads at present. Obviously being under age they can't get insurance.

Either that or 95% of statistics are bollox and are made up on the spot ;P

Ok, so it may not be 100% accurate, but I know of many young drivers without insurance and you can tell that there are plenty of others without it too!

I was getting from A to B, I was on the way to my girlfriends house, sick of travelling along a NSL road at 40mph.

Is this such a problem, I pulled into the outside lane and accelerated up to the top of 3rd gear, about 75mph, then changed into 4th gear. The Corsa followed, and I didn't pull away as quick as I imagined I would.

Where on earth did we get into street racing?

Or are you just being a troll?
