    Driving in France

I've got a nice little day trip planned in June so I've been reading around to find out what extra bits and pieces I need to take with me while driving in France. However, it's quite confusing - some sites say one thing, others say something different.

Warning triangle - recommended or compulsory?
Spare bulbs - recommended or compulsory?
    Hi-vis jacket(s) - recommended or compulsory?
Beam deflectors - recommended or compulsory, or even worth the effort?

There's a bit of speculation even surrounding where you have to keep things like the jackets, in the boot or the cabin?!

It's a bit of a minefield it seems, so has anyone got any advice?

Dunno, but given that warning triangles, spare bulb sets and Hi-Vis vests can all be had in pound stores, is it worth taking the chance for the sake of a fiver or less?

I use gaffa tape as a beam deflector, AFAIK it's perfectly legal. Don't forget to take your registration and insurance docs, and both parts of your licence.
