Realistically, for that car to really put a smile on your face, it'd do about 28mpg, and I seriously cannot afford that!

Too many units of speed round a corner I didn't know was wet (was only a few miles away all day and it had been glorious weather), back end went away.. fish tailed down the road a bit while fighting it but finally lost it and went backwards and diagonal into a hedge and flipped it about 4/5 times.
Was.. interesting to say the least.
2 weeks later I was back in a new one. Actually since I had gap insurance and the new car was so much less than my claim.. I actually got paid a fair wack of money to crash the car..madness.

You seem to be confusing driving with *no* insurance with driving with *invalidated* insurance. I'm not in the slightest suggesting the former. Also, I never mentioned driving without a license, that's just obfuscation by you.
No, no proof required, only a little contemplation. As above, you only have FULLY COMP insurance if you haven't invalidated it.
