Number Plates

Need some new number plates, as my ones are leaking a little. Any good sites to design your own within the legal limits? What is the legal stance on badges, borderes and stuff?

Also now do they have to put where the plates were made up or something?

I have heard people recommend Fancy Plates http://www.fancyplates.com/ for the novelty style ones. But if you select Standard UK Plates on their constructor you can presumably only choose road legal ones.

The legal stance on number plates is very strict. The font, size and character/grouping spacing as all well defined. Also badges are limited to countries.

You could pop on custom badges, but you're just asking to be pulled over and fined by a bored police officer...

Knew i'd seen one... this plate builder allows you to select Road Legal and then offers the legal fonts, borders and badges you can choose...

Think the laws regarding what can be sold are changing within days?, and craigsplates now sell out of Ireland so they can't be done under UK laws iirc?.

I wasn't going to go for anything OTT ... I liked the carbon 3d effect ones, perhaps with a GB Badge and blue border.
