What kind of driver do you hate most on the road?

Time for a light hearted rant at the road users you detest. (Inspired by Nicks Horse box rant)

For me, old people, especially tweedy hat wearing old duffers that drive at the same speed everywhere, regardless of speed limit. And old ladies that can't see over the top of their steering wheel.

People who don't indicate, or can't use roundabouts properly

People who jet out in front of me at junctions then decelerate rapidly and drive very slowly.

People who drive at 30-35 mph on the main roads and through 40 mph limits and then speed up to 40 mph once we're in a 30 zone.

These people are usually one and the same.

Tough one really - it's between two.

1) Middle lane morons
2) 40mph idiots on A/B roads - the type who does 40 in 30s, and 40 in 60s

Just driven home in a que of traffic as someone was driving at 40 mph on a 60 road.
So those people as well as the idiots that sit behind and don't overtake meaning the que starts

Overtaking should be part of the test now, people just don't seem to want to do it anymore....

The petite twiglet framed woman with the shockingly bleached blonde hair who is clearly frightened of the size of her BMW X5 and displays about as much control over it as Gordon Brown over Peter Mandelson.

Especially in supermarket car parks.

Porsche drivers who think they are out on a track day and/or think they own the road, why is that!?

When I am cycling, bus drivers are the worst, just 2 days ago I was almost hit if it weren’t for my finely tuned breaks, had it been someone else they may have ended up under it. I asked him at the bus stop if he was checking his mirrors, he seemed puzzled.

People who dont signal are the second biggest nuisance on the road.

The ones who aren't me. How dare they be in my way!

I think tailgaters are the worst. I always slow down when someone is too close behind. At least that way if I get shunted off the road for having to stop quickly it won't be so likely to kill me. I'm not going to speed up/go over the limit just because someone thinks I'm in their way.

If someone is driving slowly I might get annoyed but I won't het worked up about it. They could be slow for any number of reasons; lost, looking for a side road, not confident with the road, driving behind a cyclist/other hazard, perhaps using a space saving spare wheel which can't be used at high speed.

Having spent a week driving in New Zealand, I've realised UK drivers are actually generally quite good. A lot of it comes down to courtesy and awareness of other road users. Drivers in New Zealand tend to tootle along doign whatever they're comfortable with. They'll cut up other drivers and then get aggressive when others don't get out of their way. Dad pulled over to a sidelane for parking with loads of space ahead and a car length behind. He started reversing back and someone who had quickly pulled in behind him got very angry at him.

A often see people saying we should be allowed to undertake in the UK to get around MLMs. They do it in New Zealand and it just doesn't work. But maybe that's just coming from someone who is not used to being undertaken right after overtaking someone else.

Edit: Also, kids who put a fart can on their Saxo or Corsa and think it's a super car. Being able to do 40mph in a 30mph zone does not make your car a racecar!
