    Re: Honda CR-Z

you say hybrid like that makes it good? Im yet to be impressed by MPG in hybrids over diesel.

I was really dissapointed to find out it was a hybrid as it is a stunning looking car and just cries out for some high revving VTEC action.

Hmmm, just looks like they shafted the Citroen C4 styling.
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.

First thing I thought when seeing the rear, followed by the poor visibility.

I used to love all things Honda, but I'm bored s**tless by their styling now, everything seems to have gone very middle of the road with them.

    Re: Honda CR-Z

    The concept looked ALOT better.

Granted the actual production car isnt that far off. But they have dulled it down, the concept didnt make it look like a hybrid/kind to the enviroment golf kart esq type car.

The original CRX wasnt a power house, but it weighed as much as a stamp, and could be chucked about. The new one, well its not a lightweight, its a 'hybrid' that returns pretty poor MPG compared to anything diesel powered, and its not cheap.

I'm not keen on them in the metal, they look like a toy, it actually reminded me of a Reliant Robin, with the way it just looks plasticy.... and it's yet another car that's been spoilt by leaving it's tacky christmas lights on all year round

    lol.... a reliant robin ?

oh well... I thought it was very pretty.

Besides.. there's a Supercharged version being tweaked into action by someone..... google is your friend.

I don't dislike Honda hybrid's at all.... I trust Honda's engineering ethics more than Toyota's, they seem to get more out of their engineering inventions imo.

I think that, while we're slating it for being part electric, it's still very pretty AND CRX all over. I'd vote it as a very clever shape.

Having just seen the video of the supercharged version I just had a little bit of a crisis...

The missus really likes the looks of it but having seen the standard performance figures I can't believe it is group 16.

Based on the Insight, isn't it? Which is a thoroughly awful car.

Plus, not sure how a manual hybrid is meant to work - then again, it can only be an improvement, Honda's auto gearboxes are utter poop

I just generally have a problem with hybrids fullstop. As said before, they dont offer you any better MPG than a good diesel so whats the point in them?
The answer is simple, so that high payed celebrities can advertise to the world that they give two hoots about the environment. Its a status symbol that is non functional to its purpose, especailly when you consider how much energy is wasted in making them.

IMO this car should have been very different. I reckon they could have easily done the same thing that VW recently did with the Scirocco. Revamp and old car and make it sexy then give a nice selection of engines. I mean just think of this car with the 200BHP Type R Engine from the civic? Even the Diesel you can get in the new Civics are pretty damn rapid.

Its just a *potentially* good thing ruined, totally ruined

I'm sorry but that is one of the, and I emphasise THE worst looking cars I've seen in a long time.

I'm all for change and new looks, but not when it looks like that I am not!

The looks are okay for me, but for my driving style hybrids are useless. However I think they have great potential for city driving and short-trip drivers.
