I have recently sold my car at the expiration of my insurance and received my No Claims Bonus confirmation letter through the post today having built up 10 Years NCB, i noticed on the letter it also states the date of a claim i made with an insurance company previously that i fully declared at the start of this policy.

What i don't understand is that if this letter is a confirmation of NCB only, why do they have to put a list of any claims on the same letter? Is that the law, or just one of their own regulations?

As i said i have always declared any claims i have made anyway, as i use comparison sites where the details are submitted direct to the insurer.
