Question So Where Does This Bit Go Then?

Had to strip everything out of a Land Rover Defender today to fit new main and engine wiring looms, only to find that the replacements we had were not the right ones...oh dear. May have a few screws left over after this one i think...

Aaaa the fun of land rover mechano, although thats a luxury one, its go wind up windows.

Is it sort of original, or made out of odds and sodds? A friend had one built out of bits from at least 3 different types, spanning about 20 years, was a complete bitch to figure out what spares to buy.

They can be surprisingly easy to build, its when somebody else has been playing its a nightmare. Electrics on the older ones are simple, they only have 2 fuses.

Its a 1999 TD5, stolen recovered and the thieves have hacked at the wiring everywhere...still not a bad job, but very pricey if you want to get new looms!!!

Isn't the ECU for those things in a daft place, like under the driver's seat? I know all the lads over here that run/have run a TD5, first thing they do is move the magic box upstairs....
