True but all he wants to do is get it fixed for the owner in the best way possible WITHOUT the owner trying to turn it into something its not e.g. chassis bent, rear 1/4 panel needing replaced and resprayed.Originally Posted by turkster

Well, theoretically it could. Maybe not in this case, but i am sure you can put a car in such a position that it will be very difficult to avoid hitting it.Originally Posted by turkster

I wouldnt worry about it, cos you can pick up a crappy G reg micra for about £5 for the whole car . Any way only a Micra driver could park as bad as that in all the illegal places.....shouldn't have been allowed on the road anyway..........Bloody Micra drivers........Grrrrr
I dont see a dent in that photo :S
Offer to go halves
Theres no dent in those pictures! She's trying it on. £150 is more than the car is worth.
There is a tiiiiiiiiiny dent in that, but they're taking the piss with the repair cost.

How do you know that was not there before.......
Personally i cant see any justification for your attitudes.
Fact is you hit a stationary car, when it comes to repairs I dont see why they should make it easy for you at a scrappy or by getting a quick-fix paint repair if more is required. I would ensure I had a proper bodyshop repair and new parts where required.
Despite comments here its your fault, you pay. £150 is a real let off bearing in mind paint damage, dent and replacement lights. Count yourself lucky and keep your eyes open next time when driving. It may only be a Micra but its someone elses car, you have no idea how well they have looked after it/care about it.
that dent was there before tho.. you can see where it's been touched up...

micra rear light cluster can't be more that £20, you checked fleabay for any new or 'as new' ones ?
Have to admit, if someone damaged my rear wing, it would be an insurance job, they are custom made... dread to thnk how expensive. But i wouldnt park on a pavement, or on double yellows.

Just a small point but did you check the tax disc? That car looks in appalling condition and not thru your bump in which case it looks like a 'park and forget' car that people use for illegal parking etc. I s the car registered at DVLA? and in which case to who? You may find all sorts of discrepancies, in my experience hopnest people with insurance and tax dont illegally park like that its usually the dodgy ones that do as they couldnt care less about the car.
- Ask for their insurance number and company to check their details say for the police report (you have informed the police havnt you?)
- ask for their tax and whether its up to date.
start searching about you are makig it way too easy - this person was illegally parked and therefore in a court of law they should not have been there ergo 'their fault'.
check mate as theres alot of cowboy idiots who do try it on.
