Guess who has a New Tigra ?

    Yup..you'rs truly

Wanna know about it? WELLLLL......1.4 16v is the slowest car I have ever driven...worse than I could possibly have dreaded. Really REALLY slow :9

    1.8 goes well tho.

Awesome hood....Vauxhall have gone definate 2 seats, not 206 stylee 2+2 and its paid off. The boot is seperated VERTICALLY, by a hinged load partition...and with the hood UP, and the partition swung backward, the boot is HUGE Its a weird, round shape, but at least it goes to the very edges of the panel work. It WILL fit golf clubs, where a New Shape Astra wont

Hood is clever..but so is the boot. You press the boot lid button ONCE to open and it pivots right up...and you PRESS AND HOLD the boot lid button to close....the Indicators flash when its secured.

The only slightly sad thing is that the hood has two manual clasps at the front for the windscreen.

Dont get me wrong...they're dead easy, and line up perfectly, BUT its a step backwards....my Astra Cabrio is FULLY POWERED so dunno why this aint.

Other wise.....drive? Well.....lets try to be fair.

Pug 206 CC DOES have scuttle shake...where the floor feel sslightly weak and the chair kinda "moves" a fraction as you drive and as the chassis flexes.

Tigra DOESNT do that...but what it DOES DO IS WORSE

the dash board and steering and windscreen surround all flex in opposite ways In fact, its embarresing.
However not many people have noticed...just me, your Pinickity Moderator. I HATE CABRIOS....despise them. I hate flex....I dont want a car than "bends"

This one kinda....twists....the dash goes one way a fraction of a millimeter....the screen goes the other...and the steering column goes one of the two ways, but randomly

So: Will it sell? Damn right...I have had a showroom full
Will I have one? Damn right....gotta take it home to show Sair why I WONT let her have a cabrio and for a bit of a pose....but THEN after I take a step back....

    ITS A GIRLS CAR !!!!!

    Fact.

Its cheap....1.4 16v £13,700 on the road......and STUPIDLY you gotta PAY for Air Con!!!

HOWEVER...cos they musta sussed how STOOPID that is....they are giving it away free on the first orders!

Numpty Sales Tactic...but hey ho....its a good car.

BUT *cringe* the 206 CC 1.6 16v tears it a new AR5£ H0L£ in the fast driving stakes

    Tigra LOOKS good....but goes....averagely

but for £13,700 i could have myself a new (old style) octavia VRS....

And tbh Tigra's haven't ever sold that well have they?, they just look odd imo...
And isn't the point of a car like the tigra that you shouldn't have a boot?, you have the other car for that

My sister in-laws Merc SL320 convertible has the manual clasps to secure the roof - I was suprised.

I will reserve opinion until I see the new Tigger Zak m8, it HAS to be an improvement on the old one, nd it did get slated for being a heavily disguised Corsa. We shall see.

its pretty good....and I am BIASED away from soft, flimsy cars

The hood is clever...the golf clubs WILL fit, the interior STINKS of Corsa

It'll sell, but not to THIS hairdresser.....

    A: thats NOT geeky
B: I am ashamed to admit that I think the brochure is WRONG.

I asked the SAME thing after 500 yards driving.....

"How much does this skip WEIGH?"

ACCORDING to the brochure: 1.4 16v without Aircon weighs : 1160 kg

Now a Corsa like yours weighs 994 kg

That means it is 16.7% heavier

YEAH>>>RIGHT>>> and my name is David Hasslehoff....

this thing is WEIGH...er...WAY heavier than that.

    Its SLOOOOOOOW

    Wow that looks spacious.

My mum's taking one for a test drive on Saturday. She's a bit skeptical cos she wants a car that looks DIFFERENT, not like all the other Peugeots, etc.

She currently has a P reg Tigra and to be honest it's gonna take a hell of a lot to draw her away from it... She loves it... We shall see.

Howard...mate...tell your Mum NOT to be shocked if she aint allowed to drive it

I'm not allowed to let punters out in this one....they haven't been classified properly for the UK, so to let punters drive them is "allegedly" a No No.

Might be that the dealer who she's going to see is bending the rule....I was tempted this afternoon...but if someone hurts themselves in it, god only knows what happens if the Pre Production cars that we have are not "up to the job"

    See, I like the outside.

But the inside screams "budget corsa"
Why can't they spruce up the interior, it would have made the car so much better.
