you ran out of gas and your gas pump got clogged up with all the sludge at the bottom of the tank

goto a car shop and ask for some engine cleaner you put in your gas tank

    gas = petrol

easy, the fuel pump is not fully open at low rev`s, if it has some sludge from the bottom of your tank in, the engine will stutter, if you keep driving with low fuel, and don`t put any sludge breakdown cleaner in your tank, the breakdown cost will probably cost you £400 minimum for a new fuel pump and other little things

its not bad going, engine cleaner only costs £5 -> £20

    https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=ca...eaner&tbm=shop

if you find some cleaner you put in your fuel tank, you just have to leave your car running for a while

I'd go with coil pack too, just had one replaced on a VW Polo. Seems to be common problem, mechanic correctly diagnosed it from the symptoms described over the phone. About £30 to replace.

Yeah I'm just going to take anything you say as rubbish as you constantly seem to make posts on here that are just wild statement....I drive my car, not you, so I know how its run, how low the fuel does or does not get.

There is no sludge at the bottom of fuel tanks, that's an urban myth. The fuel is always taken from the bottom of the tank so any sludge would be immediately sucked up, whether the tank is full or empty.

My old Mini had sludge at the bottom of the tank, putting a new tank in was the best performance upgrade I ever did on that car (if you can call anything on a 40bhp car performance). That was 30 years ago though, most of the sludge was basically rust, and modern cars just don't do that because no-one is stupid enough to build a car with an unlined mild steel tank any more.

So I can see where the myth came from.

Fuel filter could be a possibility though, if the car has one. Or air filter, or mass air flow (MAF) sensor, or a leak in an air hose allowing un-metered air into the engine. Yeah, just take it into the mechanic, far too many possibilities.

Re: Looking for some help, please :)

    Coil Pack most likely

might be one spark plug breaking down under cold load.

Pls ignore me-yeah... i think he/she might be a little... unhinged.

the first two engine cleaners linked too iare for cleaning the engine.. making it shiny.. not putting in a tank

then one is for diesels.. useful help onc again

Thanks me-yeah.. truly inspired awesomeness in your knowledge.. top drawer.

fuel clean breaks down dirt so deposits can pass through the engine without causes damage, if your engine is stuttering, buying some is first things first

if it can save you £400, its no harm done, or get a skoda octavia through the MOT

In order to fix your Corsa (which according to this chap is a Ford) you need to get a Skoda Octavia through the MOT.

    Perfect, thread closed.
