    Defender 90 Heritage Edition
    Defender 90 Soft Top
    Defender 90 Truck Cab
    Defender 90 Station Wagon
    Defender 90 Chassis Cab

Best small car, second hand off a forcourt... The Mini would probably make my shortlist even though my perception of its size almost puts it out of my "small car" classification. It'd make the list though, along with the Toyota Aygo, VW Lupo, Ford Fiesta and the Vauxhall Corsa.

I feel like this is a predictable list (except the last one):

BMW M235i (hmm not really that small)
Fiesta ST + Stage 2 Remap (approx 240bhp)
    Renault Clio RS
    Mini Cooper S
    Toyota Aygo Crazy

Re: What is everyone's current thoughts on the "Best Small Car"?

Well I'll be the dull boring one and suggest a hyundai i20? I've got a 60 plate that I've had since it was an ex-demo. Has gone wrong and passed its last MOT with nothing wrong (not even a bulb - unlike my wife's now similar aged ex-astra!). Cheap, cheerful and quite nippy in the 99bhp auto (I need an auto due to issues with my left leg). If you need a small auto its probably the best around - most other small autos are jerky and horrid to drive (looking at you UP!). Will definitely be looking at another when I need a replacement. Only other small auto I've seen recommended is the Yaris hybrid but as its 5K more its just not worth the upgrade. Funny thing is I bought it in a rush needing a small city car for a few years. Ended up keeping it far longer than I imagined.
    Trust

    Laptop : Dell Inspiron 1545 with Ryzen 5500u, 16gb and 256 NVMe, Windows 11.

it's a right mix in this thread.. but it IS very very interesting indeed

Swift is still a great car... glad to see it mentioned.
500 is a great car... shocked to see it slagged off... it's an amazing thing.

Very surpised the Panda is not highlit much.

And the Corsa or Adam : no where to been seen/mentioned except by Knox.

I think it very much depends on which one you drive. Fair enough that the base model is nothing like an Abarth, but the engines in the models in the middle seem to get mixed reviews. Part of it may also be how you view revvy engines. Personally I love them, for me a red line under 7K rpm is probably going to be a dull drive. My Alfa 147 has what is supposed to be one of the best diesel engines going, most people adore it, but the red line at 4.5k drives me nuts and I can't wait to get rid of it and get something that burns a proper fuel (or electric).

Would be a boring world if we all like the same thing

I had also noticed the lack of Vauxhall mentions. My mum drives a Corsa, she likes it. We all told her to get a Merc SLK and I still think that would suit her better, but she got a Corsa anyway.

Only small cars I would consider are:

    BMW M135i

    Yup, that's it...

Why? If we are picking the best small fast car the BMW is meant to be pritty bad.
