It's the bright red one, not Naples.

I know it's slow, but I've not got much choice. I can't go for a fast car, they cost too much to run when I'm in the process of moving in with my girlfriend. Dropping the GTT in would be pointless, it'd cost me a small fortune in petrol and be an absolute dog off boost since it weighs a bit too much for a 1.4.

It will have a few minor mods - I'm going to lower it, chuck the BMC CDA on, and perhaps a few minor styling tweaks here and there. The overall speed of it won't bother me too much... I mean, when do I really get to let the Clio off the leash... never really. I'm a pretty slow driver if it be said and the Clio is soooo uneconomical even when driving slowly, so something with MPI that uses normal unleaded will be great.

Sure I'll miss the sheer grunt of the Clio and I'll not be able to race Doll any time this centuary but so long as it looks half decent and handles like a go kart I think I'll be happy. And anyway, Clio 16v lumps are ten a penny these days. Once I'm settled a reconditioned Valver lump could easy find it's way in there..

I don't like the 1.6 characteristics, doesn't rev like the 1.4. Good car for what you want to use it for though. GTTs are silly on petrol, from Edinburgh to Glasgow the GTT I have been in used over a quartre tank!

Yup, and don't forget that the GTT has two tanks which overall are larger - I'm using the RT tank which is tiny. 130-150 miles and I'm looking for a Shell/BP station!

    I'm gonna miss GTT power.

Lowe...you had to do it mate. We all have to reign in the car one day.

But it DOES not mean the end....one day you can do it again...I bet you will

it just means you have more dough spare to live life.....and sometimes you gotta do that.

That Clio MUST go soon...do NOT let it sit idly by...wasting away...

it MUST go...its a wastie of money sat doing nowt. And it'll make you sad seeing it. Get shot.....now.

Your joking aren't you? Do you know what 5 door clios pass hands for, crap engine or not so crap engine? The amount of money he's blown into it, much better keeping it as a track day toy or you'll lose a fair amount of dosh

Mod a car to that degree and you'll always lose money - that's the way it is. I can't keep her - simple as.
