Santa Pod on Sunday

My mate and myself went to the Pod on Sunday and watched this blue Mk2 escort.



Run a 10.9 quarter beating these two cars.



Which we thought was pretty cool for such a classic motor, of course it was not standard, but it was still street legal.

I believe the Escort was running a modified Cosworth motor with around 400bhp.

Any idea if he had a NOS kit under the bonnet?

No I do not know if he was running NOS but it is more than likely with a run like that and his lauches off the line were perfect. I believe that car has been featured in Classic Ford.

I saw a beetle at Bugjam santa pod wipe the floor of the ferrari lap time. Unfortunatly it was competing in the 1300cc class and upon further inspection it was noticed that the car had 2 engines, 1 at 1300cc and one 3.5litre V8 and a switch between the 2....
