Whats the insurance like on it?
Then again I bet you will still spend less than I do on petrol each year... and mines only a 954cc

Well, I paid some and my mom paid the rest... I payed $1,980 for one year of insurence as well And as far as my gas... When I floor it I can literaly see the needle on the gas tank drop! Oh, and for all yous that are comparing my car to others and trying to make it look wimpy, belive me I didnt buy it for speed! And the top I can do around here is 45mph! So what kind of idiot goes out and buys a really fast car to drive in town? It was bought for luxury and handling However the sound system is very nice and I just love its styleOriginally Posted by iMc
I think you are confusing "handling" with "ride" there
And if you want to compare the viper with a european car - why not choose a 911 that costs as much? And then we can see which one is better.

i personally prefer the Dodge Viper, but its still cool!
CHAVS ARE GAY!!!
YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT!
"Whats in the car?"
"Seats and a wheel!"
guys what you have to remember is that american cars in the states are a world of price difference away from the ones we have here. take the crysler 300 - its that mean, gangstarish 5-series rival that comes with a v8 and costs £30,000. over in canada/the states it costs around $22000!! thats 1/3 of the price that we are paying!! apply that logic to the viper as well.. in the states it starts at $85k, or around £45k. european cars over there are about the same final price as they are here, because the exchange rate is killing them. there is nothing for around £45k over here taht can compete with the power of the viper, end of story. and yankie cars can handle, just not as well as ours, but if you went over there you'd understand - there aren't any bloomin corners!

Iirc on 5th gear they said viper would cost £70k here. You can get a 911 for that, although not the top of the range one. I suppose you can check which 911 you can get for the same money in US.

Well guys, my car gets 10 miles to a galon! It should get 25... Any ideas as to what the problem is?
Your driving style maybe?
put the autobox in economy mode, not sports, also, if you're using the fuel comp for that figure, try working out manually. 1/2 fuel economy (if valid) suggests a serious problem, maybe a fuel leak or only firing on 1/2 cylendars?

It's not exactly that unacheivable is it?Originally Posted by iMc
Especially in the USA where insurance and fuel are very cheap, but even in the UK it's hardly rocket science

I had it checked out a week ago and the mech. said its the best kept used car he ever saw! It runs great but I cant keep a car that only get 10 miles per gallon... I drive mostly backroads at 45 -50 theres alot of starting and stoping... But it's suposed to get 20 - 30! I'm thinking of using some fule injector cleaner (adative) and checking the plugs... But thats all I can think of!
There you go, lots of starting and stopping with an automatic v6 is going to result in painful economy, sitting in traffic here in my 1 litre can take it down into the mid 30s sometimesOriginally Posted by myth
Edit: You will also find that once you have settled down and got used to driving the loud pedal will get used to a lesser extent and your economy will improve!
