Took me twelve including the lesson before my test.
I could already 'drive' (*loosely, lol), my old man had given me lessons round car parks etc.

No Sensei, i'm not kicking the mats to waste time, they have parted and I don't want to injure myself!

He he. This was genuinely not my fault. Noob in front's hubcap flew off in a 40 an whacked the front of the car, smashing the headlight. I did try to avoid it though!Originally Posted by Lowe
I only lost it once though didnt I . Mondo hooligan, sideways action for a learner in the snow!Originally Posted by Lowe

I hated it when my Dad took me driving!!!! he was one of the most mild mannered men iv'e ever met until he was in the passenger seat
Or maybe it was my driving
Jon won't take me driving, says i'm much better off learning with an instructor.... it would be nice to practise manouvres a bit more though..
I found initially lessons are essential - for the basics and good habits - but then practise with Jon!
I'm always picking up on Jon's bad habits... he does them all the more to annoy meOriginally Posted by Jonny
He'd rather me have extra lessons with the instructor than take me himself, i',m happy enough with one a week for now... maybe when iv'e passed my theory i'll have an extra one a week... my problem is time, i work from 8-6 she finishes at 7 and she doesn't give instruction at weekends
My instructor worked 7 days a week, I had a lesson at half nine in the evening once. His opinion was that all he had to do was tell me what to do/what i was doing wrong and sit there - and if he was prepared to do that - he'd get paid for every hour he did. Top bloke
