i'm gutted about this, but i am just hoping that there isnt a knee jerk reaction by the FIA or whoever that tries to make the sport safer.

I would expect all video footage would have been aquired by the Police to examine the causes of the accident and present it to the inevitable inquest.

I was really looking forward to the highlights but when I nipped onto the website yesterday morning the terrible news was just unfolding. A tremendously sad day for entire motorsport fraternity. Like you all have I wish both family and friends well.

On a slightly different note I was disgusted to see that with so much news of sporting events reported yesterday, so few channels and programmes saw fit to mention the tragic events when a local was killing in a world sport being held IN THIS COUNTRY!

Would just like to add my condolences. I don't follow rallying but I hate to see injuries in Motorsport whatever the form.

It was the same when Joey Dunlop died, hardly anything was said on the news! one of the greatest sportsmen of our time yet if a flippin' footballer swore or got studded then we never hear the end of it
