Santa Pod - Final Details Thread (25/09/05)

    Right,

It's less than a week away now

I suggest a good meeting point for those that want to meet up before entering the pod is the Shell Petrol Station/Little Chef on the A45 just off the M1 on the way to the pod.

We can then continue along the A45 to Santa Pod:

    Date: 25th September
    Location: Shell on A45
    Time: 8:00-8:15

We will leave the Shell at 8:30!

I'd have said it would be easier to start at J14 M1 Milton keynes then follow the wellingbourough road throuh olney (A509 ) to Podington.

its a nicer drive ( not that I'm going )

Hmm better get the GPS out, I normally get off the M1 at the junction before that.

Although I suppose if you're confident of the route Coco I'll just follow the crowd

Edit: Yeah as Moby said, J14 is what I'm used to.

Im going to have to meet you all there, Im either going to take a cross country hack to MK then across, or a quick blast to J14 then cross country to Santa Pod - are we meeting anywhere at Santa Pod? (just be my luck to get there and then not find anyone.....)

    Well, I'm open to suggestions?

I've only been 2x before and took that route both times.

So if peeps want to do something else, then let me know.
Just thought it made sense to gather before entering?

There is a LARGE petrol station on the A509 / A428 (I cant remember the road names!!) it sits just after a roundabout and is about 10/15mins out from Santa Pod. Good as a meeting point, as allows you to get Petrol/food/etc etc and its of sufficent size that a few cars wouldnt make it over busy. Can show you the quicker route into the Pod then as well
