    Toyo proxes T1-S any good?

The time has come to change my front tyres and was wondering if anyone here has used these?
I've always used yokohama as what I look for in a tyre is all out dry weather grip. I've got parada spec 2's on the rear at the moment and was going to go for these on the front at £68.99 a pop untill i saw the t1-s' going for £55, i know it's only about £30 more for the yoko's but the rate i go through tyres........

I'm using these on my car at the moment..... Put them on around April time... and theres not much meat left on them now...... Very soft rubber and very quick wear rate.

Good tyres though.... i've got lots of confidence in throwing the car into a corner with them on.... In the wet they are alright, but i drive like an old grandad when its raining.....

Theyre omly bettered by goodyear eagle f1's wich are more expensive again is the concencus on the SXOC.

I will be replacing my current jap imported dunlops with toyo T1's once they wear down.

Dunno but they sell crap tyres in the uk and good ones in japan

These jap ones are good tyres! Not as good as my eagle F1's - but then nothing is. Still good though.

If your going through tyres as if they are going out of fashion.... then you'll go through toyos even quicker... but ya'll have great fun wearing them down..... but you'll be buying new ones quicker than before.

I pay £58 each for Toyo T1-S in 205/40/17's all fitted and balanced from my local tyre company.

I always thought they were jointly British/Japanese owned. I'm pretty sure that Dunlop's motorcycle tyre operation is Japanese. Google sent me here:

    http://translate.google.com/translat...l%3Den%26lr%3D

....which also has the Goodyear logo on it so maybe Sumitomo Rubber Industries just have a licence to manufacture Goodyear and Dunlop tyres? It's a mystery wrapped up in an enigma!

16's always cost more since they're not a popular size, and are lower demand

Ive got T1s on the Cab and I rate them, excellent grip in the dry not too bad in the wet - but then after my spinning incident last year I tend to slow down on the corners a bit more when its wet these days!

I say go for em - they've improved the drive on the Cab quite a bit.
If you're not living on the edge, you take up too much room
