T reg Vauxhall Astra 1.6i Sport

+ Easy and actually rather nice to drive
+ Sports Spec so handles well, the seats are dead comfy and the Magnex exhaust sounds well nice
+ 3 door means I fit in it and have good all round vision!

    - Its only a 1.6 and I dont like the alloys

Other massive negative is that it isnt my Golf.... god I miss that car!

Zak edit: didn't know you had one of those. Awesome visibility isn;t it....good for broadside in the forests
If you're not living on the edge, you take up too much room

+ It's beyond fun to drive
    + Cornering is a dream
+ He's the love of my life.

    - his speakers died in a monsoon on the A1 last week and don't work even after drying out (can be fixed like)

+ Nippy for a 1.2 (Wait till the points go then a 182 for myself )
+ Good on the fuel (42.9mpg whilst ragging it)
+ Keeps the insurance down for now until the points are off this October

    - The only car I have owned that has had to go back to the garage I bought it from 18 times in the first year due to shoddy Renault workmanship (Has to be a Friday car)

+It has no power steering, is pointy and i don't have to take oil tanker lines when driving it
+It can fit my friends when it needs to, or take another friends belongings to a new house in just two trips and it doesn't scare me on motorways despite being a small car (happy to go with the flow, if a bit loud)
+Its my first car and I love it and its earning me NCB while I am waiting for a Prelude

-It loses its nippiness quite easily if you load it or stick a hill in front of it

+ its massive (easy to get stuff in)
+ its cheap to run and fuel (600 miles on a £50 tank)
+ the sound system drowns out any noise

    - its just a car. not a thing of passion, just an automotive device..

+ It has 170.5 BHP or 178.6 BHP depending on which rolling road you believe.
+ It will do 30-35 MPG of the motorway
+ It handles well yet is very comfortable.

    October 2001 Mini One

+ Nice drive, handling and feedback

    - Not enough space, especially for a mobile copier engineer
    - Absolutely terrible fuel economy - around 27 mpg. My old 1986 Landy never dropped below 25 with an engine twice the size
-The engine's French, and it feels like it was sub-contracted to Citroen for building

    1996 Mazda Xedos 6 Sport

    + V6
+ good at high speed long distance journeys
+ only one fault in 100,000 miles (engine took 5mins to start on one occasion)

+/- dealerships vary from excellent to complete rip off merchants

    - bodywork is now full of parking scrapes, dents from lamp posts, scratches from passsers by, scratches from car wash machines.....
    - wish it was a more 'fun' car to drive in the twistys
    - parts can be expensive
