Or a Fiesta...or a Lada Riva (I'll be there defending that one all day long )

Saab 9-3 1.9 TiD 150 6 speed Sport Wagon (read: Estate) Linear Sport

+ The fuel consumption vs the performance IS quite remarkable
+ The Saab 9-3 "feel" is still there, even though it's an estate and a base model
+ The seats are amazing....truly amazing.

but.....

it's not an Aero....it's just not the same. I know it's a turbo, and I know it's a diesel...but hell....that 2.0 Aero is a serious all rounder.....and I miss her i miss the controlled power, AND the pure Saaby-ness of her. Thunderbird 1, as I named it, will always be with me

+ I payed the finance off 9 months early so don't have £150 a month to pay
+ I now have a DAB radio fitted
+ One of my friends in glasgow keeps badgering me to give her a shot of it... and she is very cute

- it's not a turbo....although that may be considdered as a + as i probably wouldn't have a license if it did....

The good -

the noise - roar as you hit 7k rpm - immense
the cornering - twisty roads are now thrilling - it stays planted, no roll
the acceleration - as it catapults you into oblivion

the bad -

the repair bill when you lose concentration in a car park near a low brick wall (6k)

+ The smooth drive
+ The sound of the V6
+ The handling

- The seats, if you move the seat at all takes ages to get it just right again


Oh! and the the whinning noise coming from my girlfriend, because the cars too low.

+ Damm good full economy

- Had to spend loads getting it into its current state
- Its not a ford focus my dream car!
- So underpowered, a fairly steep causes a nice drop in speed even with foot planted

+ Easy to drive/park around town (Where i do most of my driving)
+ Very comfortable

- Its a micra

+ Blueprinted/balanced engine makes for very fast reving.
+ Nice power to weight ratio
+ On startup everyone within 500 yards stares at it, due to the noise.

- The rear arches starting to bubble yet again

+ 7 years (120k) of trouble free driving
+ Looks good for it's age
+ Shifts and corners well due to mods

- Daft things are starting to go like brake discs, battery etc. and it's starting to feel a bit tired

+ 7 seats
+ massive boot for lugging stuff about
+ weird one this but the plastic surfaces in the rear that wipe clean great when you have a 4 year old

- its a family car not a sports car
