    + The colour, Gunmetal grey
+ The 17" Gun metal grey alloys I managed to blag off the deal when i bought it. (£1700 worth )
+ The fuel consumption - suprisingly good, especially when driven hard....

    - The windows don't touch the seals when you put them down, so it doesn't actually clean the water off the glass, apparently its supposed to be like that so the glass doesn't get scratched (doesn't stop me getting a wet leg when i pull off the drive if i have opened the window and its rained the night before mind....)

+ The performance. There isnt all that much about on a day to day basis that it wont make look just a bit silly.
+ The cost - Picked it up 1.5 years ago for £3K and insurance is £600/year with mods declared
+ No one knows what it is. Its a sleeper. No trouble with theiving scum etc.

    - Body work is a bit tatty now. May take it off the road this winter and spruice it up.
    - Cant fit sod all in the boot. I really need a more practical car now
    - The cost, it isnt gonna be worth anything if i ever sell it. So i will probbly just keep it

    - The tappets are quite noisey on firing it up
    - Tis underpowered
    - Not overly fuel efficient

+ People notice it. Usually they will look as I drive past, or even stare at it when its parked. I've had people comment while at petrol stations too, tis a really cool feeling

    1989 Sierra Ghia 4x4 Estate:

-If the fuel light comes on (1 Gallon) and the next services is 30 miles away, you're finished
-It spits oil from every conceivable gasket (more of a downside for anyone tailgating me)
-I need to strip the whole thing down, sure up the metalwork and get it sprayed

+You can stamp 172 ft/lb down at the apex of a corner and not die. This greatly confuses the MK4 GTi owner busy under-steering into the runoff areas.

    + Looks Great
    + Cheap to insure/service/run
+ Makes me grin like no other car I've owned

    - It stands out, so have to be choosy about parking.

    1997 (P) Nissan Micra 1.0 Vibe

+ Running costs (Tax, Economy, Insurance etc)
+ Easy to drive/park around town (Where i do most of my driving)
+ Very comfortable and quite surprisingly nippy

    - Its a micra and therefore needs more ooompf and gadgets and more comfortable and easier drive and stuff.

I'll miss my micra when it goes, but I'll also be glad to see it go. bless it.

    1999 (V) Mk5 Fiesta 1.3 Finesse

+ Cheap to run, cheap parts, rock bottom insurance
+ First car, I have a bond with her

    - Ridicously unreliable. Spent £600 in 8 weeks to get her running better and still not running
    - Loud engine, terrible roadnoise & "clunky"
    - Old car, old styles

Being replaced tomorrow with a shiny new Mk6

    1999 Mondeo Ghia X RSAP

+ Looks great, in my opinion.
+ Great to drive - handles well, performance reasonable
+ Loaded with everything the discerning student needs - leather, cruise, aircon, computer, etc.

    - Image. Until they see it, people think 'Mondeo, hmmm' and instantly assume it is simply a tool, something boring, something that cannot possibly be fun becuase they once drove a 1.6 LX and suprise suprise it sucked.

+Best handling car I have ever driven.
+Looks stunning ( came with irmscher style pack as new )
+Fuel consumption isn't too bad considing the size of the engine and the abuse she gets!

-It has a roof on it!!!! Was looking at a 1.8 convertible, but they're too slow and don't handle as well
