I tried being careful once to see what economy I could get. I think I was over 35mpg but was so bored I was worried about having an accident!
38MPG Pushing the beast way beyond legal limits - On a race track only of course
43 MPG - Driven normally
Equates to about 550 miles on a tank
Alfa 156 JTD 2.4 20V
20mpg or 23 if i freewheel lots.
Subaru Legacy Spec B
Wise old man won't you help me please? My house is a squash and a squeeze.
Since doing sparkplugs + redex last week Ive done 125 miles. Decided to fill up again anyway to see mpg and it was 33 which is a lot better thn 25-27 from last week..
However the 60 miles today was country roads with out much slowing down, so that would make it higher. However the exta two people in car probably outwieghed that (heavy people!)
Will be checking sparkplugs/inside the cylinders tomorrow to see if it looks shiny and new, or old and rusty like it did before... Going to dangle a LED through the hole hopefully ill be able to see where the oil was coming from in cylinder3..
*Cough*
58mpg avg on the work run... 35 miles round the M60 crusing around 90(kph officer )
NEVER see less than 44mpg when caining it unless on track (lowest was 17mpg lol)
so thats 600 miles to a 50ish litre tank of derv... and 185bhp 320lb/ft
can anyone get a better performance/economy ratio
