Thanks, but did you actually read it?Originally Posted by tom5640
15/20 for a pass.
Procedural questions are the only ones you have an excuse for
I admit I did not read it, I'm just used to sticking Congrat into "I've passed" posts, since I spent a long time on a popular leaner drivers forum, and I've only past a couple of months ago. sorryOriginally Posted by TeePee

Tough on mirrors, tough on the causes of mirrors.
Congratulations TeePee
I'm really happy for you, must be nice to have passed. I haven't even got started with all that, I've tried driving with my father twice or so when I was 16 (I am 18 now)..but it stoped after a while I guess I had time when my father didn't and vice versa. But the thing being a poor student, I would never have the money to buy gas for a car. But sure, the positive thing I see with having a license is that you could borrow someones car or rent one while abroad.
Congrats again

thats mad, 15, would be so dodgy if the UK age limit was 15. all the moronic chav's racing around.
I've just been out with someone who passed about a week ago and i'm serisouly scared about going out again with him. Infact i'm not sure i will go out with him again, he drives WAY too fast and hes not a good driver.
I live in relativly rural area with plenty of county lanes where 75% of corners are blind and hes going around them tyres squeeling in the middle of the road. He thinks hes a good driver but hes NOT, simple things like not straightning up properly after a corner.
Really unhappy about it, i know im not going to be like that when i pass (Hopefull a month or 2 away) because its SO dangerous.
A lot of people are like that when they first pass. When I was 17 5 of my classmates were out driving at lunchtime and crashed, killing one, and severely injuring the rest (and the driver of an oncoming vehicle) as a result of the drivers recklessness. Personally I think there should be a compulsory 'advanced test' after a few years, and possibly a requirement for a 'driving review' every two years, as with my Pilots licence.
Rest assured that with many years of driving, including specialist training for my former profession, I can resist the urge to 'go wild'...

I never drove like that when I passed, partly cos my car wasn't powerful and partly beacuse I knew it couldn't handle for squat.
I do drive a little more "spiritedly" on occasion where suitable, and within my car's limits, but I have more experience than back then

Thing is, they'll be like me. I passed my test and started ripping up the place, then had a BIG off.. carted off in an ambulance job etc.... Now I admit I do drive quickly these days BUT I know where my limits and within 10 minutes or so, I know where the vehicle's limits are - an instinct brought about by driving fleet vehicles pretty much since I passed - initially I just drove whatever was available until I got my own van. The crash tho is a lesson I aint forgetting for a looooong time.
Oh, and congrats Teepee - although the questionaire they make you fill out is a joke - I got 18/20 just going for it, missed the "Can't go straight ahead" sign and the change of name period Q.
