I went on saturday and have to say, i was a bit disapointed. Went to NEC in 2004 and it was much better IMHO. Its much bigger so all the big names were there (VW, Audi, Porsche, Lambo, Maserati, Ferrari, Skoda, subaru were all missing this year) and i prefered the live events at the NEC.

Did anyone else find the VXR event a bit disapointing? Seing monaros with smoke pouring off the tyres isn't that impressive. At NEC they had 2 action arenas, one with all minis doing stunts (Going around on 2 wheels, handbrake turns into spaces with precision unlike the guy in the monaro) etc etc. Then the main arena with many different manufacturers, a more interesting story line and focused on the cars rather than the story. Plus an enormous explosion which gave off stupid amounts of heat.

So yea, it was alright but i prefered the NEC.

Did anyone go to the mazda voom voom section? We watched from the side, saw a few slow people go around then an RX8 came up, reversed to the start and parked sideways.....revved the engine a few times then bucket loads of tyre smoke and screaching. Whized up the straight and drifted perfectly around every corner at crazy speeds. Think it was actually the instructor but it was a tiny circuit and he was really in control at huge speed
