    What does W/C mean?

    I'm trying to get some driving lessons booked and I've been speaking to an instructor but he keeps saying stuff like:

    "so the earliest would be for w/c 18th Sept!"
    "As I said I would be looking at W/C 18th Sept onwards"

    I don't want to sound like a rubbishrubbishrubbishrubbish so what does W/C mean? (No not Water Closet..)

    Week Commencing Got me for a week or so when I first came across that particular term

    I have never ever heard it used for 'week closing'. It's definitely 'week commencing'.
