Modding an Antec 300

OK I ran down and got some pics. I only took a couple because the fumes were starting to smell... nice xD. So I'll show you 1 with flash, 1 without and 1 from an isometric viewpoint

The paint looks to go closer to Matt once dry. It isn't a very even coat I can admit but tomorrow morning with more light I will clean it up. I take it I should do 1 wet sand then anotehr good coat?

Personally I'd not bother with sanding, just give it 3 or 4 coats to get a good solid colour and get in all thoes nooks & corners.

PS sounds like it's a satin matte not a true matte, ie it drys to give a finish like smooth plastic, ie slighty shiney but not glossy
A true matte tend to look dry and powdery

It's a bit patchy (flash really shows it up) but it's the insides so what the heck

Exactly, I might but myself a window if it looks like the dremel is capable of it. The back (PSU end) is the best bit and ATM it's the only bit that will be seen. Looks much better without flash but it sucks in all the light in a photo so I had no choice but to show it up

Looks good was thinking of doing the same to my case but I might buy the xigmatek midgard which has an all black interior have to see how it goes.

Nice work for your first try! I wish i'd taken the time to do this when I got my P180, but I was just too excited and had to install everything ASAP

I got it almost completely built today. Still need the cpu and I have an i5 750 arriving tomorrow
Then I'll use a corsair H50. Now I have a scythe gentle typhoon 1150 rpm fan or the supplies corsair fan or an antec tricool fan. Which should I use?

Not too happy with the PCB of the mobo, it's decidedly poo brown

motherboard colour is because of all the coper in it, however as I also have one I know what you mean

For the fan on a normal cpu cooler I prefer to stick with a PWM fan and let the motherboard adjust the speed for lowest noise.
The corsair H50 comes with a PWM fan so I'd go that route personally.
One thing to note about the h50, from most of the reports I've seen, when you mount the pump/waterblock, put it on upside down, ie with the corsair logo upside down and the pipes coming out of the top.
Seems to work better that way around, 4-6 degrees cooler.
