CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."

for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.

    Absolutely amazing build mate

Got any idea of the weight of the whole case? just looking at it makes me think about using a small forklift

    Re: The Left Handed Build

I thought the issue with the EK reservoir leaking was going to be easily rectified when EK offered to send me a new replacement acrylic tube.

The res leaks very slowly, so the level is lower in the CPU loop (shown on the left)

I did not want to drain the whole loop just the res, so tilted the case up on its side to make the res the highest point in the loop

I then put a small clear plastic pipe inside the res & siphoned the fluid out (be careful if you attempt this @ home as EK fluids can be harmful & don’t taste very nice)

Level dropped down to the bottom of the res

The small clear plastic pipe was repositioned & the res was fully drained

The top fitting was undone & pipe work plugged

The res was then popped out of its holder to make access easier

The top was then unscrewed & removed

The acrylic tube was then unscrewed from the base

Then to my dismay, I found the tubes to be the wrong length

On closer inspection I found the new tube to be 20mm longer than the original.
I once again contact EK & found they don’t manufacture the ‘advanced’ tubes anymore only the ‘basic’.
At this time, I am in contact with EK & the supplier to try & get the correct replacement parts but I am not holding out much hope.

Yes, looks like I am going to have to put my hand in my pocket again & purchase two new res’s.
Basically, I am not happy with this situation at all.

    Re: The Left Handed Build

Only one reservoir is cracked? If so and as one must be length you originally used could you use the longer one in place of the cracked one? I think it would look like you planned it.

    Re: The Left Handed Build

    No both are cracked
The second res was inverted as the crack is now on the top.
Very poor workmanship from EK (again)

    Re: The Left Handed Build

Don't know if it's possible but if you might be able to get some lexan (polycarbonate) tube similar size then mill and thread thread the ends with a lathe?
    Just a thought.

    Re: The Left Handed Build

Been in contact with the supplier again & they are going to send me two new oversize tubes.
I will then put them in the lathe & face them off to the correct length (may have to put a little undercut on the thread to stop it bottoming out before the O ring)

Don't know but if you look on the net, a lot of them have.
I think they have used cheap (inferior) products again to help with their profit margins

Still having problems getting replacement tubes.
Have to say that EK have now lost a customer

Should have something sorted soon, so an update will follow shortly
