Re: Coolermaster 340 Mod - Rock on!

This looks very interesting, will be keeping an eye on that. Nice to see a mod done in something other than the typical Lan-Li/TJ-07 (Not that I can talk, I plan to use the TJ07 for my next builld). Colour is very nice as well.
Cleavage is like the sun...Quick glances.

leave for at least a full week before a final fine sand and polish.
Thanks man i'm going at it with a totally different tatic this time mind! the idea is to leave for a full week, then i'm going to buff it like hell....hopfully it should work, although your idea sounds like it is a good one i'm really worried i will damage it and leave scratch marks, hench the really light sanding! I would like to get a nice shine with a reflective finish, not to reflective but enough to see a blur

@ RabidDeathGnome - Thanks i've always thought about modding a Lian-Li but the price of them puts me off, at the end of the day i can built a case to my specifications in the same price range

Re: Coolermaster 340 Mod - Rock on!

Thanks, the choice of colour was only partially mine mind! Dont give up i was useless when i first started modding in 06 lol, Either way i come with an update! and pictures of course

So the front has cured abit...so i decided today was the day to buff the little bugger to a shine! lets start shall we?

    Now whilst i was waiting....

I had to make myself one with cream ah the good life! Anyway...second front panel is finshed buffing...

excuse the messy purple floor...But the shine is coming through! im going to give it a buff with some t-cut then a coat of turtle wax then abit of polish will give it that ultimate shine! i have none other than a chap who goes by the name "em3bilko" he was the guy at modders inc who taught me how to spray properly...ive now perfected it to get a great reflective or matt finish BANG TIDY!

    Moving on...

The new top in the progress of being lined and marked up...its going to be "sweet" if i do say so myself! Stay tuned

Re: Coolermaster 340 Mod - Rock on!

Well i use halfords own branded buffing compound, its pretty damn good! some lint free cloths (they are old so not that great anymore mind!) after buffing, i use t-cut, then i use the turtle wax, leave it for 24 hours then buff it with some polish, seems to give it an amazing shine and i cannot wait i can already see myself in the gun metal!

Re: Coolermaster 340 Mod - Rock on!

Umm a bit more details please.

halford buffing compound? the cloest thing I can find is this http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/s...Id_165594#dtab
And T-cut is a range of product from carplan, so which one from the range do you use?

sorry to be picky but this is something I'm actually looking into atm, been wondering about the feasibility of getting a cheap orbital sander for use as both sander and buffer.

erm its just called a buffing compound a yellow tube! i will get a pic of it in the enxt update

I started with a ruler, basic line setup really! and...after some cutting...

So now it was basically easy going, line the holes up drill them out and sorted btw cool shot coming up!

Hardcore modding FTW (dont cream now )

next up so final shoots of the beauty that is the front!

    But first i had a tea....stolen!

and my dog is a muppet

    Back on topic!

Re: Coolermaster 340 Mod - Rock on!

And we flow with some more updates this time a little bit more "wow" factor in the images hehe

So i wanted the inside to be pearl white but couldn't find it anywhere, so what do you do? well DIY pearl white of course XD or in this case, brilliant white with gun metal silver specs XD Take a peak and let me know what you think!

Of course i had to add these photos....

I'm very happy with how they have turnt out, cannot wait to get them clear coated and buffed up!

Re: Coolermaster 340 Mod - Rock on!

What psu? resleeving cables isn't too hard to do and you can get white cable sleeving.

A modular PSU will be a big help and you can go all out and make custom cables to length

Heck you could always buy some cable trunking to hide the wires in

On the paint it's very hard to tell what the finished effect is like from those photos and is this a bad time to mention I've found a place that does custom spray cans.
