Re: Coolermaster 340 Mod - Rock on!

    Thanks guys, its appreciated

So...bit of a problem the white looks really good but i managed to damage it! god damit....ive yet to take a pic of it but lets just say it is the middle pannel on show! so im going to try and rub that area and sort it out...lets hope it works!

But to make things worse...whilst i left the panels to dry my dear mother thought it would eb a good idea to move them closer to each other so she could dry the washing.....

They swung and damaged the panels so a rub down is in order and a respray

Re: Coolermaster 340 Mod - Rock on!

ye doh! ive started to sand it down the whole damn lot! very bad news...But anyhow i have some light at the end of the tunnel!

I started to respray the bottom panel of the interia of the case, which means i get to buff it again! and now i get to rivet it all back together! yay so onto the back...

    and front...

    and tada!

Some who pay close attention will notice a few things....for starters there is a few missing parts! yes i managed to forget about these...

Plus there is a beam for support ive lost im currently looking for it! how you manage to loose one i dont know...but still im happy with how it is looking its super smooth too which is a bonus now onto the outer case..thanks for reading!

Is that just the undercoat? it looks grey rather than white in those photos.

Re: Coolermaster 340 Mod - Rock on!

Not alot to update atm as i've yet to take some pictures, But anyhow i've recently finished the colour and clear coats ont eh outter case looks nice and wait till you see it...and how i achieved it!

But i've a problem been spraying with cans for years but never have i had this problem, basically i have lots of little tiny hairs that are on the clear coat! i really dont fancy having to sand it all back and risk ruining my perfect colour coats...any suggestions on how to correct this? or will it buff out when it comes to me buffing them???

Re: Coolermaster 340 Mod - Rock on!

So as no one came up with an idea, i went ahead and sanded then buffed.....

looks like i took the right choice! i've yet to take some decent pictures using my camera, but atm the phone pictures will have to do XD i can see my face in that side panel! very impressed and only took.....1 hour to buff....yes one damn hour my arm was killing afterwards! Either way im very impressed with it, its shiney not to reflective but enough to have a decent finish!

I've also ordered the new trim and new "smoked" side panel, etching is something im thinking about doing but for now im not going to do it....not untill i think of a design first! thanks for looking

""edit"" pob, the yellow tube is the halfords rubbing compound i use

Re: Coolermaster 340 Mod - Rock on!

Finally time for a decent update. case is slowly coming along nicely to start with i need to get the mesh sorted out and loose ends tied up. so to start with, it was the back panel...

Need to fill that little hole right there...with mesh! ac-ryan mesh in fact this stuff is THE TITS when it comes to mesh, i'd recommend it to anyone any day! so onto the cutting and mesuring up...

i know it looks rough and odd right? there is a reason, when i pulled the ruler out i came across a problem i didnt think about, the rivets and panels...

But that is ok i sorted it! bit of fileing and problemo solved

Next issue was the side panel,

So i marked it and got the dremel out, few minutes later....

Anouther problem solved and if i do say so myself it looks rather hot!

Next up is the other side panel taking a mesh panel...

    Marked and preped,

cut and now to finish the final cuts..

Sorted i will get back to that as i will be using the decent camera to take som of the panel shots

One other thing...i needed to sort out the case feet! lucky for me my good mate techytom had an old case he was breaking....so sorted me out the feet!

However the bolts i had were too long so i had tto break out the dremel again!

So now we have some better sized bolts!

With my assortment of bits and bobs, i layed them out and poof! feet are on and i will be posting some pictures of them soon thanks for looking.

The idea is that i can move it about more, plus it mean's i don't have to worry about load's of space being taken up. Saying that i've already thought about a new front Best thing about this case is i can change it as i please! bang tidy
