Very clean looking Moose, did you do the cable management yourself?
thx Steve.
I did it all myself yes. I built it first and ran it for a couple of weeks, then when i was happy i did all the cable managment.
still not 100% finnished i want to copex the 4 x pci-e feeding the gpu`s but cannot get a sharp enough bend on it to make it work. but i have a solution, just need to get motivated and get it done.
cant think of any solutiuon for those damn nasty Sata cables tho. ive manged to hide them behind the copex so not to obvious. they really are awful things i hope somebody designs a better one soon with modders in mind.
i just had to do something about all the cables, case`s and components look awesome these days. it just seemed a shame to have such a lovely looking rig wrecked by horrible cables lying everywhere.
it took me a good few hours but i enjoyed it and the end result is well worth it.
thx for looking

Nice and clean. Good job, I am sure it games just as good as it looks
AMD FX-8350 @ 4.70GHz w/8-Cores - Bus 277 / 1.4v - Asus Crosshair V Formula ROG - G.SKILL Ripjaws X 16GB DDR3-2210 (8GBx2) - SAPPHIRE DUAL-X R9 280X 3GB GDDR5 OC (UEFI)
the gaming experience is out of this wold now. i have everything on max and i only get lags when the servers lags
i had a little blast on my old comp the other day just to remind how bad things were a couple of months ago.
thx for the comments SuperXP.
If that's you first build M00SE then you've done an amazing job on the cabeling.
Cabeling is more of an artform than a science and while SATA cables do have some felxability issues they are far nicer to work with than "round" IDE cables.
And while IDE ribbon cable can be done very neatly with some cable origami it can be a right bugger it you need to replace or add one drive.
yes it my first build beleive it or not. only thing ive done pc wise in the past was change a PSU.
I am an electricain by trade so i am used to working with cables. having said that anyone can acheive neatness im sure, its putting the time and effort in guess. it nice to have the side panel off once in a while and have a little peek at it ticking away.
like you say the IDE`s are much worse. so i should be happy really. i may take them out and spray them black for now.
thx for the reply.
That's incredible cabling for a first build! Great choice of components too, much better than my first build on every front (especially the cabling...) Even my current build doesn't look that neat and I thought I did well this time...
My first build, built up over a few months.
sure.,.... id love to get my hands dirty again
@ Zhaoman. thx for the comments
It took a fair amount of time to get it that neat, i just felt i had to, thats the electrician in me i guess. As for the specs i knew roughly what i wanted, proccessor and fsb speeds etc etc, but i had some help form forumites in chosing the final specs.
As for building it and loading windows, that was seat of my pants all the way
@ format.
great lookin rig, nice to see another blue beast on the airwaves
cheers all.
Sata cables do come in colours other than red although 90% of motherboards seem to come with red cables.
Such as Black or Sliver
Crazy as this might sound it was actually eaiser to cable manage IDE ribbon cable than round IDE cable. you need double sided tape to stick it down, but you can quite happly fold ribbon cable through 90degrees more than once along it's length, you could also cut it and reposition the plugs.
Same as SCSI ribbon cable, once apon a time I had 3 scsi HD's and an optical disk drive (simular to minidisc) inside my pc, it took a real of cable and 3 tries to get that neat.
After an accident involving a wet fire escape and a Lian Li V2100 case i rescuesd what i could and did this to it :-
NIce
here it is...
about a month and 2 RMAs after i started its finally finished and running as i want it to
That nice Cables could use a little work though
