will the UK PS3 play DVDs or Blu-ray discs bought from other countries? is it "multi-region"? is there an update for this?

UK PS3s are locked to Blu-Ray Region B. However, most Blu-ray discs (especially those over 1 year from release) are multi-region (ABC)

I think you can play games on any PS3, but films are probably region locked.

For normal old dvd its region locked.

Yeah, forgot to mention they're DVD region 2, as well as blu-ray region B

But region ABC blu-ray is more common than region 0 or 123456 DVD
