    Re: Halo 3 review

Just read the GameSpot score - 9.5, which is good but not Earth shatteringly amazing. This pleases me, because Halo2 was good but not amazing, and everyone bangs on about it as if it was the best game ev0r.

Anyone seen a completely over the top 9.9 \ 10 review yet? (From a website not a 15 year old prick)

    Re: Halo 3 review

IGN review is also up now, and also gave it a 9.5, the same score they gave Metroid Prime 3.

'Reason for single player disappointment one: It's too short.'

'Reasons for single player disappointment two: Graphically, it's underwhelming.'

A game hyped beyond comparison not living up to its billing? Why I can't belive it.

I'm sure I'll feel the same when Mario Galaxy comes out, if it doesn't get a 9.9 and the title of Mario64 beater.

    http://uk.xbox360.ign.com/articles/822/822427p1.html

I was kinda, sorta going to maybe get a 360 to have a play through Halo3, but only if it was a world beater.

    Re: Halo 3 review

Gametrailers have their video review up. Scored 9.8, video has no spoilers.

    http://www.gametrailers.com/player/25485.html

They also have a very good comparison video showing Halo's 1,2,3 graphics side by side. For those thinking the gfx ain't all that.

Single player is too short, and the graphics are 'not as good as BioShock'. I'm sure it still looks great and the multiplayer aspect is vast.

But the game was always going to get 9.5-9.9s simply because the mass delusion that Halo is a great game, that started with the release of the not-even-average Halo1 on the Xbox shows no sign of going away.

That's my point, any other game that isn't Halo, is too short and doesn't have the best graphics would be languishing with low to mid 8 scores.

I would have to disagree if the gameplay and storyline is epic enough, which the reviewers are saying it is then it does deserve high scores

    Re: Halo 3 review

Need some decent time to play it, it hasn't arrived as yet. I want to play the multiplayer as well, so may give it about a week of playing so we can give it a fair review.
