BioShock - Fantastic FPS. Looks great.
Metroid Prime 3 - Fantastic FPS. Best controls of any console FPS in history, classy and interesting game.
Halo3 - Fantastic FPS. Looks great, amazing multiplayer.

Now, tell me, why do some people feel the need to have an e-rubbishrubbishrubbishrubbish over the last of those 3? What is it about this game series that causes even 'proper' game reviewers to take leave of their senses? If someone said Metroid or BioShock was perfect, everyone would say they are a nob.

This guy says Halo3 is perfect, I say he's a nob and I get grief over it.

Why? People get a pass to say stupid things because its Halo?
    Stewart, you got issues.

I think because you are at the extreme other end it is easy for people to take the mickey out of you (which they are) and bait you.

It has obviously upset you but if you don't like the hype ignore it. Sure I got Halo 3 coming today (I pre-order most games from Amazon, why bother to drive!?) but I haven't read a review because I only read previews and then make my mind up whether I will like it. Thats why I got Overlord, it looked funny, demo was good and I have enjoyed it very much. I'm not saying I am perfect, its just the way I do it.

Hype is just marketing and almost every media outlet is in somebodies pocket whether by choice or by preference.

there is no point critisising the halo series because of its hype. just ignore it and move on like me and others have. imo some of these game reviewers are probably been paid by MS to say this game is amazing but it aint. far from it infact. what bugs me with these reviews is that they give the grapics at least 9 out of 10 and just just plane stupid and proves tehre either a halo fanboy or been paid by MS.

We can all agree that GOW's graphics are a hell of alot better then halo3 yet halo3 scores very close to gow's graphics verdict

i know its not all about graphics but seeing game sites such has ign rating the graphics 9/10 is abit of a piss taker

    9.0 Graphics
Despite a few moments of slowdown, this is a gorgeous game, especially considering the demands of the replay function. And it's to die for in 1080p.

    Re: Halo 3 review

Well said, as much as I know it won't look as good as GoW, I suspect it will still look lovely in 1080p.

Got it at lunch, can't wait to play it. I really enjoyed the first two, far more than half life and I want to see how it ends.

do i have to play it to judge the graphics? you do know that people can watch in game footage and look at screen shots to judge the overal graphics of it.

Or maybe all those screen shots and videos are fake and that the actual games graphics is 10 times better. if so then i admit i am wrong in critisising the graphics then

Yeah but have you seen it 'running' not a video or screen shot. A 360 running it in 1080p Very different kettle of fish. I will find out for myself this evening anyway.

    Re: Halo 3 review

Graphics are underwhelming, there are some nice touches but it wont blow your mind. The single player experience is lackluster at best, multiplayer is the best on 360 (for shooting). There are far superior single player experiences to this don't believe the hype!

    Re: Halo 3 review

I don't believe the hype, I'm still looking forward to it though. People like different things, as I said I really didn't like Half Life but loved Halo, not because of one reason but because of how it was done, the story was good but not too long, you can skip the cut scenes (that don't go on forever) the voice acting was excelent, music brilliant and it looked nice. As for the game ergonomics, they were nothing special but all together I loved it.

The point of my post was that you seem to get really heated whenever anyone disagrees with you. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, so long as they agree with you right. If however, someone has the audacity to voice an opinion contrary to your own, you deride them for it. Lovely. Good luck with that

For the record, i haven't got Halo 3 and i probably wont bother with it it until its cheap. I didn't enjoy the first one myself and if I'm honest, I'm far more excited about the HL2 orange box and Crysis atm.
