copying saves between consoles?

when copying a save game from my MU to my HDD, it warns me about changing ownership.

i have a save on one 360 (using my gamertag) and i want to copy it to another to use with the same gamertag, will this cause any problems as i'm not sure what the warning message will do in my situation.

You have two Xbox's!

If you download your gamertag onto both you should be able to use saves no problems. I cant remember if it updates your stats on both profiles or if you have to update by transferring the profile across again.

You can't have the same profile on 2 consoles at the same time.

If you are regularly using 2 360's, keep you GT and saves on the MU and just use that in the 2 machines.

i dont regularly need to move GT's and the MU isnt mine, i doubt my friend will be very happy if i borrowed it indefinitely!

its just that when i first got SC4, i had copied my GT onto a MU, played it on the 360 downstairs (and created my custom characters on there), but now i want to move the save onto the 360 upstairs but when i copy saves over, it warns me about ownership changing.

is that "ownership" linked to the console, or the gamertag?

Some gamesaves are file protected to prevent cheating, ie Forza 2.
