Re: NXE: HDD game install sizes & load times.

Well, was getting nothing on my main gamertag, activated my 2nd one and it found it and updated. So far installed Fallout 3 to hard drive and downloaded an avatar that puts you in with the sweepstakes thing for the MS points.

Still trying to find my way around it at the min as everything is in completely different places. Quite like it must admit though, pretty user friendly.

Re: NXE: HDD game install sizes & load times.

Please don't flame me as I am a PS3 user. However on both the PS2 with a HDD loader (and the legit disc mind) and on my PS3 the recent Soul Caliburs have been helped massively by HDD loading. This is largerly due to custom characters, where the developer can not predict what data I will need, when. I would imagine any customisable game would benefit from a full or partial install.

Re: NXE: HDD game install sizes & load times.

It is quite nice; as soon as it came out we had a storm and I had to cancel the NXE update (it had already updated from the old version) and on starting the second time the update was quick.

Am just copying GoW2 to the HDD...I like it My avatar looks nothing like me though LOL

If you can't wait, go buy a game and get the 48 hr gold key; worked for me with the gow2's 48 hr gold license...

Re: NXE: HDD game install sizes & load times.

Ah it's so much nicer playing a game with the hair dryer off! Fable II's menu system is a lot nippier now it's been installed. My zero point games are now banished from my gamer history.

Have to say the new dashboard looks a whole lot better on larger displays now
My only concern is should I hide my true identity? A costume maybe?

0iD: Plus weeing in it every now & again does it good
scaryjim: 10" is just a little large to hold comfortably in one hand, which makes it a lot harder to tap, swipe and generally interact with.

My 0 point games are still there, tried to remove them but you cant at all for some reason. Find it a bit bizarre that you need the disk in to play, even though the game is installed to hard drive.

Press the guide button, go to achievements and 0 point games will have the option to delete game history.

If you didn't need the disc the market would be killed by piracy.
