Open Beta is out today, downloading it now!

Tried most of the night last night with my US account and my UK account and couldnt get on with either.
It would stay at the character creation screen, with the message about when servers go live and a blank flashing box!!!! and that was that.

I had a go of MAG this morning. First impressions are that it's Battlefield 2 all over again.

Just got in and giving the beta a big fat filthy download now, don't know alot about it only what's been said on her but seems promising, is it?????? Let's watch!!

this took SO long to download, i think the entire world was trying at the same time, i set the download when i got in from work i stopped it, restarted it at 7:30 before i went to the gym, left it running over night and this morning, sat their eating my brecky it ticked 100%!
started the game, made a Character in RAVEN . . . .couldn't connect to servers . . . . . GG

yeah, thats what im getting. tried for about 20 minutes before setting off for work and i cant find anything on the net regarding the connection error reference (kinda defies the point of giving you a reference right?)
i'll give it another try though tonight - have you managed to get in and play yet?

No, I have'nt managed to play it yet which is annoying because i'm told it's like BF2 !!!

well lots of peeps havin the same 11:1 connection problem, some get in but have to queue for 20 mins to get a game.

Player-created Groups cannot chat with each other
Error 5:5 – Unexpected Disconnection at any time after logging into the game
Error 10:4 – Player can’t connect to the authentication server to play the game
Error 11:1 – Player can’t connect to the game universe after joining a queue
Error 13:5 – Player can’t connect to the game server

Of course, there are some smaller issues that have been reported as well, but the ones listed above are the most frequent and important. Naturally, your next question is likely, “what are we going to do about it?”



The short answer is, “All we can.” We’re working through the night to ensure that these challenges are met and overcome as soon as humanly possible. Throughout the day, we’ve been adding patches to our servers to improve existing and previous issues as well, and will continue to do so until they are resolved. Don’t worry about downloading anything extra – these are fixes we make directly to the server itself.



Our first major network patch that, among other things, should stabilize and fix the 10:4 and 11:1 errors quite significantly when deployed. Expect that patch to be rolled out to all servers in the next 12 hours. If it’s released earlier, we’ll certainly let you know.



For the most up to date information on patches, fixes and more, watch this thread on the official MAG forums; we’ll be updating it as we go.

Once again, a big thanks to all of you for taking time out of your week to test MAG with us. Frustrating as some of these issues may be, especially for those of you who have never beta tested before, working through and overcoming them is a crucial step in guaranteeing a smooth final product.

i spent a few hours on it last night after the gym - i loved it, its the first game i've played where you can ACTUALLY be a sniper - the released maps are quite cool - i've only played a few times as assault so most of the time im on the outskirts.

the leveling system is basic but defines the character as their role as they unlock some of the better weapons and mods through their selected tree.

to be honest - im looking forward to the release of this!

I got in a few times after the day of release, seemed pretty fun! I thought it was a lot like BF2 actually, except with the level I played, there's no vehicles etc.

I'll try it later on today as I wanted to give it a little bit of time for the servers to be sorted out, lol.

none on the released levels have vehicles or base bonuses yet.
in some situations you get para-dropped but as compared to what it offers: its quite restricted right now.

. . .but i still love it!
