Well in my mouse, my brother users the 360 more than the PS3 and I use the PS3 more than the 360, but then I use the PC more than both of them.

Personally I find the 360 controller more comfortable than the PS3's dualshock controller. And I say this as a PS3 owner. Although the PS3 thumbsticks are a little better.

The D-pad is less spongey than the 360 controller but when it comes to the more integeral buttons now days such (the triggers and analog sticks) the SixAxis/DS3 actually pales in comparsion.

360 controllers are much better in my opinion, more weight aswell makes it feel more quality than the sixaxis. And the analouge stick is in a much more natural place for the hand.

And TV is old so no HDMI input and only 1080i available so need the 5 way component lead.

In regard to weight, i would recommend the heavier Dualshock over the standard Sixaxis certainly.

In general i personally just cant get on with the 360 pad, just always felt weird/wrong - especially that dpad shivers

But like people say if you like a different pad from another console, seems there is always a way to get round it be it modding or otherwise

Yeah I'm a bigger fan of the 360 pad myself, as along with the better comfort for my hands, I always find that on games like MW2 my thumbs hit each other on the PS3 pad when using the joysticks quite quickly, and they're a lot more slippy than the 360 ones (I think the indent on the 360 pad allows you to really take complete grip of the stick).

I can't get over how quiet it is though and the PS3 system updates is probably the biggest plus as it's a very powerful system with lots of variety. I prefer the online services on the 360 but I guess that's something I would pay £20 a year for, so fair enough.

The PS controller is gonna take a little getting used to... doesn't help when the games i've tried all have dodgy control layouts. Just why is it racing games on the PS don't use the analogue triggers for accelerate and brake, it's far easier than thee second stick? And the trigger isn't used to fire in shooters?

I do have very little feeling in my left thumb/forefinger though due to an accident years ago, now go try using the controller & not knowing if you're finger is on the Dpad or not without looking at it

Try alternatives, if you play shooters then the one gtech plays with the Fragfx looks like a good thing to have.
Don't think i'd ever get used to the thumb position on the sony controller.

wow...i never knew there was a "mouse" type controller for the ps3...i think i might finaly start to play fps on my ps3 blatenly getting myself one of them!

Nah sorry, bought it when thehut were doing them for £17 then sold it on when I couldn't get on with it :-)
